In my work, I use painting and drawing to explore emotions and dream like imagery. I visualize these ideas with symbols, lighting, texture and composition. With a focus on detail I invite the viewer to look closely at my art and come to their own conclusions, as the meaning of the work is meant to be fluid. I draw influence from surrealism, nature, and nostalgia. I am inspired by the mundane and the magical, reality and the imagination, and how these dichotomies intertwine. These works explore how contrasting images can convey emotions, stories, and ideas. Overall, my approach is intuitive and open ended.
