Artist's Statement

My passion comes from photographing new topics outside of my field. It's fascinating how we artists create different perspectives that gives our work significant results. Photographs are a way of capturing these moments that will last forever. Every photo we present has powerful meaning to this story that connects to our life from experience, emotions, or memories. We count these moments as our best accomplishments as an artist.

Astronomy has been my interest since I was a kid, loving the idea that there are other planets in our solar system. I've wondered since then what life is out there that we possibly haven't figured out. Looking at the night sky and knowing that there are millions of activities happening every day is what's beautiful about this concept.

Telepathy explores the theme of what we call Astrophotography. It comes in capturing what we see in the sky, especially our universe. Looking at the night sky creates a mystery of what is in space. Telepathy refers to our minds connected with the universe. These presented photos show a combination of star trails and landscapes. As our planet rotates nonstop, so do our stars in the night sky. Each star trail consists of either planets, suns, or galaxies. The locations are different cities close to the Bay Area. Lighting is a factor when creating star trials. The city's light pollution will impact the view of the stars. My work will present different perspectives of how those lights affect the overall pictures. Also, this project is to show my audience how beautiful our universe is when we look up during the night. Every night, we all have an opportunity to experience something magnificent. Shooting stars, comets, and solar eclipses are prime examples of what we can view. The audience will feel my love for astronomy through time and space. As photographers, we can capture those split-second moments we will remember forever.
